LIVE 2-HOUR WORKSHOP:
The Needs Creed™
Stop Running on Empty. Start Leading with Energy.
A LIVE Practical Workshop for women leaders to break the patterns that lead to burnout and identify what they need to be OK
Not brilliant. Not endlessly capable. Just OK.
Because most women we meet are living a long way from OK, and they've been doing it so long it feels normal. (Spoiler: it’s not normal, it’s just common!)
It’s time to change that. And it starts here.
Live workshop. Thursday 30 July.
9.00am London time | 6.00pm Melbourne time
Before you burnout, watch this:
Too many of us think we’re broken. We’re not.
It's just that most women have been taught our needs come last and least. We put everyone else first and, if we make the list at all, we're at the bottom of it.
So we end up with habits we're not f*cking proud of. You know the ones... The extra glass of wine. The doom-scrolling once you're in bed, a small act of rebellion against the too-full day. Half a block of cheese and crackers inhaled while you're cooking the actual dinner. These aren't weaknesses. They're simply an attempt to take care of your needs with the wrong things. And once you understand the mechanics of it, meaningful change gets so much easier.
When your needs are met you're OK, and you give to others from there… that's generosity. But when you’re depleted, and you’re not OK… giving from there isn't generous at all. It's sacrifice, and too much sacrifice leads to burnout.
The Needs Creed is how you get yourself back to OK, sustainably.
Here's how we'll spend our two hours
This is live and hands-on. My commitment to you is you'll leave having built something you'll actually pin up on your fridge, tell your family about, and make happen. Not something collecting digital dust on your hard drive.
We'll separate your needs from your desires. We'll look at how your unique personality shapes your relationship with energy and rest. And you'll create your own Needs Creed: a simple guide to what you need, physiologically, psychologically, relationally and spiritually, to stay okay.
This is not about you bouncing off the walls. Let’s crack “OK” first, huh?
About your trainer Dr. Joanna Martin
Jo trained as a medical doctor before (via a short detour at drama school!) finding her calling in coaching. And then, ironically, doing work she loved, she burned out. In recovering, she became fascinated by why so many capable women over-give until there's nothing left, and it's been her life's work ever since. She's now a renowned expert in burnout, boundaries and behavioural change.
Over the last 20 years, her coaching and mentoring has reached hundreds of thousands of women worldwide. She's the founder of One of many®, which began in 2014 as a small community of women leaders and has grown into an international movement, with over 500 certified coaches and trainers across more than 20 countries. Collectively One of many® coaches have worked with more than 20,000 women in deeply transformational programs of change.
She's the author of Superwoman: Escaping the Myth, an award-winning speaker, and a sought-after mentor to leaders who want to grow their impact without sacrificing themselves to do it. She brings a rare mix of clinical precision, grounded strategy and deep compassion.
Away from the work, she's a wife, a sometimes-too-tired mother, a sister and a friend. She has a very cool head, and a very big heart.
